Annual Fall Show

November 2nd through January 15th.

This intriguing exhibition encompasses a diversity of painters and sculptors from Bucks County and abroad. From the abstract expressionist Spanish art of internationally recognized Luis Bujalance to the familiar local backdrops depicted in the colorful canvases of Anita Shrager. Also included in this show are two modern sculptors. Mark Pettegrow, of Point Pleasant, PA and Christopher Cairns, of Haverford, Pa. Mark's love of mythology, history, and architecture are all used to create sculptures that are on the edge between representation and abstraction. Works by the sculptor will be on display March through July 2006 at the Mitchener Art Museum, Doylestown, Pa.

Christopher Cairns, whose sculpture has recently been installed at the Grounds for Sculpture, in Princeton, NJ, explores man's place in nature. For Cairns, the importance of his art lies within his renewed fascination with the condition of humanity. Universal statements about themes of love, death, metamorphosis, redemption and violence are combined with his highly individualistic perception of reality. Cairns substantially realistic sculptures celebrate the strength, elegance and sensitivity of the human spirit.
